  • Our timber selections include New Guinea Rosewood, Kwila/Merbau, Accoya, and Western Red Cedar.
  • Our selected Australian hardwoods include Blackbutt and Spotted Gum.
  • We will only use timbers like Spotted Gum, Surian (sometimes known as Red Cedar or Calantis), Meranti, Silky Oak and Amoora in our joinery factory if we are confident the product will suit its application.

Real Solid Timber

Unless specified, all Teal timber is solid wood, not solid finger inner core with a veneer. Such timber products make future revitalisation work very difficult.

  • Teal uses mortise and tenon joints to join our  timber.

Australian Standards Certified Products

Teal Windows and Doors are performance tested in a NATA accredited laboratory to comply with AS 2047-1999 for structural and water penetration. This performance testing became mandatory from June of 2001.

  • The testing of Teal’s products was so successful it achieved an air-condition rating for all units tested.
  • This means by installing Teal windows and doors clients will increase the energy efficiency of their homes and buildings.
  • Teal will supply a certificate of compliance on request.
