Why Teal is your best choice
With a distinct passion for timber and over 30 years experience in the timber window and door industry, our clients will deal directly with the business owners for the best in professional advice regarding design, proportions, alignment and aesthetics. This service enables Teal to consistently produce the best quality products and to ensure that the end product is exactly what was envisaged. Teal Windows works endlessly from the first point of contact to completion with the Architect, Builder and/or property owner to get every minor detail right and to also meet delivery deadlines.
Teal Windows has the flexibility and drive to offer the widest range of product, sizes, design and finish in the market. Teal is able to meet individual customer requirements through a commitment to custom design for all window and door products.
Choice of Timbers
Teal only uses the highest grade and proven joinery timbers recognised for long term external use. Timbers include Papua New Guinea Rosewood, Kwila/Merbau, Accoya, Western Red Cedar and selected Australian hardwoods such as Blackbutt and Spotted Gum. Teal will only use timbers like Surian (sometimes known as Red Cedar or Calantis), Meranti, Silky Oak and Amoora in our joinery factory if confident the product will be suitable for its application.
Real Solid Timber
All Teal timber is solid, not solid finger jointed Western Red Cedar inner core with a Western Red Cedar veneer wraparound. Such timber products make future revitalisation work very difficult. Teal uses mortise and tenon joints to join timber.
Australian Standards Certified Products
Teal Windows and Doors are performance tested in a NATA accredited laboratory to comply with AS 2047-1999 for structural and water penetration performance which became mandatory from June 2001. The testing of Teal’s products was so successful it achieved an air-condition rating for all units tested. This means by installing Teal windows and doors clients will increase the energy efficiency of homes and buildings. Teal will supply a certificate of compliance on request.
Everything we do has an environmental focus; from our products to our processes, we’re committed to ensuring that we do our part to preserve the natural environment. We only source FSC certified wood, every part of our design and production process is focused on minimising or eliminating waste, and we ensure that our operations have a minimal carbon footprint.
Training Local people
Teal Windows employs local apprentices who work closely with our craftsmen to ensure the future of the trade. We are focused on preserving traditional methods, ensuring that these precious skills are passed onto the next generation.
